[Here is commentary from a friend on a book that I of course recommend..'cause I'm in it!]

Hey, guess what?!

I was at Tower tonight, grabbing the new Loreena McKennitt (Book of Secrets -- it looks like a thing of beauty, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet), when I spotted this book. In the back, among some amusing pictures of costuming for the Memnoch Balls, I saw you guys in a lovely half-page full-color shot. Matt, you look like you're going for Walker's evil brother, and Laura, your eyes are closed in what looks like the bliss of the moment.

It's gorgeous (Laura, all I can say is, 'Damn, I'm jealous!') -- you're famous -- enjoy it. :)

The book is called "The Shadow of the Vampire: Reflections from the World of Anne Rice" by Jana Marcus. The first part is, um, well -- basically a bunch of folks with portraits describing how Anne Rice's books changed their lives and whatnot. I skimmed it quick, especially after the shot of the 200+ lb. dominatrix. The second part is color photos from the last three or so Memnoch Balls, where I spotted you.

And there you have it. Just thought you would want to know so you could spread the news.
